Candice Michelle has recently spoken about the possibility of making an in-ring return after signing with TNA Wrestling in an agent and backstage producer role. Following the signing, many of her fans have been hoping to see her compete in full wrestling matches once again.
During an exclusive interview with Steve Fall on The Wrestling History Channel, Candice was asked about coming out of retirement and potentially wrestling again. Here’s what she said:
“I would be lying to say if I’m not excited to get into the ring and I would be lying to say that if I’m not scared and terrified to get into the ring. And so how that unfolds is kind of what I’m working out. You know, when I look at how good these women are, there are so many things that come up. Can I be good enough? Can I do it at my age? Can I do it while suffering from panic attacks years ago? Will that come back? All of the things that want to talk me out of it are coming up.”
Following this, Candice referenced the recent scary concussion incident involving Steve Maclin at the TNA Sacrifice 2026 pay-per-view event:
“It’s like a healing process to come back, especially with Steve Maclin just recently being knocked out like that. That is scary for anybody to witness and it really hits my heart because that happened to me, so I know the mental recovery of that. And it’s like, wow, these are two of the best men in the business and it can happen to them. So you right away think that could happen again. You know, that is a possibility. We’re with a company that is really on top of handling everything and making safety a priority.”
Although she expressed these fears, Candice left the door open for a potential in-ring return, concluding with this powerful statement:
“But you know, I sometimes think I’m crazy to think that I’m going to get back in the ring. I’m crazy. Can my back take a bump? I’m crazy to think, do I want to hit the ropes because I’m probably going to have some rope burn because I haven’t done that in a while. You know, and I’m crazy to think, will the people get behind me again? But I think it’s more crazy to think that I would regret never trying.”
Judging from Candice’s comments, there still appears to be hope for her to wrestle another match or two before fully closing the chapter on her in-ring career. However, whether and when that happens remains to be seen. Only time will tell.
