Liv Morgan has opened up about her heel run in WWE. She revealed that she greatly prefers being a “bad girl” over playing a good character on screen. According to her, the heel role gives her far more freedom to express herself without worrying too much about fans’ reactions.
In a recent appearance on YouTuber Esteban Ramirez’s podcast, Liv was asked which character she enjoyed more. She was asked to compare her time as a babyface and as a heel. This is what she said:
“I like being a bad girl. I feel like you knew that. I feel like being a bad girl is just fun. It’s easy and freeing. You know, when you are a good guy it’s like you are valiant and the people have to like you. They have to respect you. They have to want to root for you. And sometimes that could be very difficult and that could be hard.”
She further explained the unique freedom that comes with playing a heel. She noted that heels are not expected to be cheered by the audience:
“Being a bad guy, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if you mess up. It doesn’t matter if they love you or hate you. Obviously you want them to hate you, but that reaction isn’t as important as when you are a good guy and you’re supposed to be getting cheered.”
Summarizing her feelings, Liv made it clear she has no desire to return to a babyface role anytime soon:
“So I love being the bad girl. I love the freedom that gives me. I feel very comfortable. I feel very in my wheelhouse. Um yeah, I would stay terrible forever.”
To be honest, Liv Morgan’s stock has risen dramatically in WWE ever since she turned heel and aligned herself with Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day. It is almost unbelievable to think that this is the same Liv Morgan who was once the third wheel in the Riott Squad. Her entire persona back then revolved around her signature blue tongue.
