All Major Highlights

  • In a backstage promo, Willow Nightingale announced to the AEW fans that she injured her right shoulder during her TBS Championship defense against Red Velvet on last week’s episode of AEW Collision. As a result, she is vacating the TBS Championship and withdrawing from the Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament. She added that she will be back on top when she returns, before thanking all her fans for their support and leaving.
  • Backstage, Renee Paquette was interviewing Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida about Willow Nightingale’s injury. As Statlander began to respond saying it was awful, Shida interrupted her by speaking briefly in Japanese. Shida then declared that this Sunday at AEW Double or Nothing, she and her friend Kris Statlander will fight for the Women’s World Championship and that they are more than ready.
  • Renee asked Statlander if she would be cleared in time, noting that she is still not medically cleared to compete. Statlander confidently replied, “Yes.” Shida then stated that they are not here to fight but to watch the entire women’s division, adding “Right, Kris?” At that moment, Statlander grabbed Shida by her collar in a moment that looked more romantic than intense. She warned Shida, “Just watch yourself,” and walked off. Shida smiled and said, “Ladies, fight hard and get ready.”
  • As Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) entered the arena for their five-minute challenge, Renee Paquette tried to interview them. Lena Kross dismissed her by saying, “Let’s see how long they last.”
