- Stephanie Vaquer was walking backstage when she was suddenly attacked by Raquel Rodriguez. Roxanne Perez then shoved a heavy table into Vaquer, causing her even more damage. Liv Morgan grabbed Vaquer by the hair, pulled her up, and said, “This is my championship now.”
- Becky Lynch entered the ring and cut a promo bragging about her WrestleMania 42 victory over AJ Lee. She then issued an open challenge for her Women’s Intercontinental Championship, which was shockingly answered by IYO SKY. Becky refused to face IYO, claiming that IYO holds other women back, but the entire arena erupted in cheers for IYO while loudly booing Becky. General Manager Adam Pearce then appeared and announced an impromptu match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship between Becky and IYO.
- During the Women’s Intercontinental Championship match, Asuka attacked IYO SKY from ringside while the referee was distracted. This allowed Becky to hit IYO with the Manhandle Slam and retain her title. After the match, Asuka entered the ring, stomped on IYO repeatedly, and locked her in the Asuka Lock, inflicting further punishment.

- In a pre-taped vignette, Asuka said, “I am still your senpai, IYO. Everything I did was to help you because I wanted our family back together. But now that family has been destroyed. There will be no stopping me. You were my biggest failure, and at Backlash, I will teach you a lesson and make you realize that you are not ready for Asuka.”
- Backstage, Liv Morgan confronted Roxanne Perez about what happened with Finn Bálor and Judgment Day while she was away, telling her that Finn had turned against the family. Liv expressed her desire to support Roxanne in winning tag team gold and asked, “Do you trust me, my little Roxy?” Roxanne nodded. Roxanne then asked Liv for some time alone. Finn left, telling her, “Good luck with your match. I hope you know what you’re doing.”
