Kendal Grey and Kelani Jordan squared off in the main event of the May 12, 2026 episode of WWE NXT to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. The winner will go on to challenge Lola Vice for the title.
Also on the show, Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain teamed up against Zaria and Nikkita Lyons. However, things ended badly for Nikkita Lyons when she was backstabbed by her own tag team partner, Zaria.
Additionally, Izzi Dame got into a heated brawl with NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice. This brawl created major problems for Kendal Grey during her main event match against Kelani Jordan.

- During the women’s tag team match, Zaria betrayed Nikkita Lyons by backing out and leaving the match midway when Nikkita tried to tag her in. This allowed Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Rain to hit their finishers and pick up the victory.
- After the match, an impressed Tatum Paxley offered Lizzy Rain a title shot at the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Tatum will defend her NXT Women’s North American Championship against Lizzy on the May 19, 2026 episode of WWE NXT.
- In a backstage interview with Blake Howard, Kali Armstrong declared that she is coming for the NXT Women’s Championship. She stated that she will run through everybody in NXT just like she did in Evolve. Kendal Grey then confronted her, telling her that she hadn’t run through everybody yet.
- During the main event between Kendal Grey and Kelani Jordan, chaos erupted when Izzi Dame and Lola Vice brawled backstage and made their way to ringside. Wren Sinclair, who was supporting Kendal Grey at ringside while holding her crutches, got caught in the brawl and fell. The distraction allowed Kelani Jordan to hit a Split Legged Moonsault and secure the win.
- After the match, an angry Kendal Grey shoved Lola Vice for costing her the #1 contender match. Izzi Dame then struck Lola with a big boot from behind and stood tall over her, holding the NXT Women’s Championship high above her head as the show went off the air.
