Jacy Jayne pulls off a major upset by defeating Charlotte Flair in a one-on-one match on the May 1, 2026 episode of SmackDown. The leader of Fatal Influence sends shockwaves through the entire women’s division on the Blue brand by pinning The Queen Charlotte Flair in a head-to-head encounter.
Also during this show, Paige and Brie Bella had their first major title defense as they put their newly won WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line against Nia Jax and Lash Legend.

- Cathy Kelley interviews Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss backstage. Rhea Ripley soon interrupts and says she tried to take on Fatal Influence alone last week and got ambushed. She offers to put their differences aside if Charlotte is willing to do the same. Charlotte replies that they have teamed up before but will not do it again. Rhea points out that there are three members in Fatal Influence and only two of them. Charlotte says all she needs is Alexa, adding that three is a crowd. Charlotte and Alexa then head to the ring for Charlotte’s match against Jacy Jayne.
- Jacy Jayne, along with the other two Fatal Influence members Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, makes her entrance for the match against Charlotte Flair. Jacy grabs the mic and says that last week was only a small taste of what Fatal Influence is bringing to SmackDown. She declares that she thrives on it because if there is anything Fatal Influence loves, it is embarrassing a legend. Jacy proclaims that Fatal Influence will take out everyone’s favourite legends one at a time, and there is nobody better to start with than Charlotte Flair.
- After Jacy Jayne defeats Charlotte Flair, the entire Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid, and Jacy) gangs up on Charlotte and Alexa Bliss and begins assaulting them in the ring. Rhea Ripley’s music hits and she runs down to the ring. Rhea takes down Fallon and Lainey, then sets up Jacy for a Riptide. Fatal Influence quickly escapes the ring. Rhea and Charlotte stand tall together and shake hands.
- Women’s Tag Team Champions Paige and Brie Bella get interviewed by Byron Saxton backstage. Brie says they are impressed by Fatal Influence, but their actions will eventually catch up to them. Paige agrees and says they will deal with Fatal Influence when the time comes. For now, they are focused on beating The Irresistible Forces and remaining champions. Brie adds that The Irresistible Forces are powerful former champions, but she and Paige have the experience to get the job done because SmackDown is their house.
- A new vignette airs promoting Blake Monroe’s upcoming arrival on SmackDown. In the vignette, Blake is seen taking a bath in a luxurious bathtub. It looks like Blake is receiving a Veer Mahaan-style push, and her debut is still far away.
- Cathy Kelley interviews Tiffany Stratton backstage. Tiffany says she wants more challengers for the Women’s United States Championship and issues an open challenge. Chelsea Green then appears, standing up from her wheelchair. As Chelsea claims she will become champion, Kiana James and Giulia arrive. Kiana demands a rematch for Giulia. Tiffany says she has the whole locker room to consider, then announces that Kiana will be her first title defense. She wants to see how Kiana performs when she is not being held back.
- Tiffany Stratton versus Kiana James for the Women’s United States Championship is now official for next week’s May 8, 2026 episode of SmackDown.
- The Irresistible Forces get interviewed by Byron Saxton backstage. Nia Jax says they were not pinned when they lost the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Lash Legend adds that they have something special planned for Brie Bella and Paige. Nia declares that the math is mathing with two teams in the ring, and they will end Brie and Paige’s reign and send them back to the couch with Nikki Bella.
